Privacy Policy

GrocerMe ("we," "our," or "us") provides a grocery list and recipe-import tool at grocer-me.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and identify your account. We do not receive your Google password.
• Grocery list and recipe data. Items you add to your list, recipes you import (via pasted text, a URL, or a photo you upload), and quantities/preferences you set.
• Kroger account connection (optional). If you choose to connect a Kroger account, Kroger provides us with an access token that lets us add items to your Kroger cart on your behalf. We do not receive or store your Kroger password, and you can disconnect this access at any time from your Kroger account settings.
• Photos you upload. If you use the photo-scan feature, the image is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract ingredient text and is not used for any other purpose.
• Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and debugging.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your grocery list across sessions and devices.
• To parse recipes you submit into ingredient lists.
• To search grocery store product data (such as Kroger's product catalog) and show you matching items and prices.
• To add items to your connected store cart when you explicitly request it.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the Service:

• Kroger — to search products and, if you connect your account, to add items to your cart.
• Anthropic — to process recipe text and photos you submit for parsing.
• Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider, used to store your account and list data securely.
• Google — used only to authenticate your sign-in; we don't share your list data with Google.

Data Retention

We retain your account and grocery list data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual list items at any time within the app. To request full account deletion, contact us using the email below.

Your Choices

• You can disconnect your Kroger account at any time, either from within GrocerMe or directly from your Kroger account's connected apps settings.
• You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by contacting us.
• You can stop using the Service at any time.

Children's Privacy

GrocerMe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
